About Us

Why is it called “No Easy Street?”

Hello. My name is James. My wife Kate and I, retired for several years, dedicated this website to writing thought provoking articles that others will engage with and hopefully provide thoughts and comments.

The future of retirement is unclear, and as senior citizens, we have watched many outlive their ability to care for themselves. Retirement is ‘no easy street,’ not even when you have the money to live on.

Our Mission and Goal

Our mission is simple and straightforward: Sharing information and concerns from the baby boomers (1946-64), and the Gen-Xers’ (1965-80) all of whom are approaching those “Golden Years” where things are not so much gold, but painted to look like gold. Please, join us: follow, subscribe, comment. We look forward to hearing from you.

“ipsa scientia potestas est,”

“Knowledge, itself, is power.” (Sir Francis Bacon 1597) This is the reason I ask for your input. My interest is strictly truth, and nothing but, whereas the Internet is filled with “disinformation,” i.e., information that is not necessarily correct, accurate, or truthful. There are, of course, conspiracy theorists who make things up as they go. There are also enemies of humanity who wish to foment unrest, cause division among people, and produce chaos and mayhem within all societies of our planet.

As an iconoclast, I strive to be a pragmatic, independent, critical thinker, endeavoring to base all information on the knowledge I ascertain to be true and, and in the process, present evidence by reference for you to examine. Ergo, this website will present articles written by me, and any others who wish to express logical and fact-based, provable information. It will also contain some ideological and philosophical writings, again, supported by fact.

We hope those tired of “fake news” will follow and subscribe, providing your comments and written contributions.

My name is James
