An Evening, and a Morning

A new day …

So the voting ended, the majority prevailed, and there’s a new sheriff elect! Now what?

To be perfectly honest, I did not care one way or the other who won, I am simply happy that it’s over and the populus got what it asked for, which … actually … is yet to be seen.

The proof will be in the bread-pudding!

So, with that in mind, I went in search for anything that I might be consider an “unbiased” source of information about Donald T., the commander and chief – elect, so, I turned to the BBC (British Broadcasting Company) since they had no apparent stake in the election results.

Of course, I’m certain that the choice of this source will not be without controversy, but all they are doing in this article is summarizing Donald Trump’s previous campaign agenda promises and evaluating whether or not they were accomplished during his other term. In total, there were 20 promises made during his first presidency. Of those promises there were (7) seven delivered, (5) five partly delivered, (5) No progress, and (3) three abandoned. A total of 35% successful, 25% partly successful, and the final 40% incomplete or disregarded.

New promises made during his campaign speeches …

For the following list of 46 items, I landed a bit closer to home, i.e., NBC News. In doing so, I accept this information as unbiased because the references can be seen and heard by reviewing his various campaign and other speeches (i.e., If you are willing to take the time.) With that in mind, the following are excerpts from the list that NBC presented along with narrative of the things that X-new president stated he will accomplish, some as early as “day 1,” of his new presidency.

There you have it!

Nothing prejudiced about the man, nothing denigrating, just plain and simple facts; 46 in total. All Donald Trump’s campaign agenda promises that the president-elect himself stated, and in some cases threatened or promised to do (yours to decide), all of which will be watched by the public beginning at the turn of 2025.

“The inauguration of Donald Trump as the 47th president of the United States is scheduled to take place on Monday, January 20, 2025, on the West Front of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. The event will be Trump’s second inauguration to the presidency and the 60th U.S. presidential inauguration.”

May his leadership be everything you hoped it would be, or much less than you feared. (Depending on which way you voted.)

As for me, I predict that by the end of this term, we who are retired will ‘appear’ to have much more, but will, in fact, have far less, and the world in general will be far more dangerous and difficult to inhabit.

But, that’s just me! What do I know?
